A website created to raise awareness for the LGBTQ Community
Many suicides and mental illness arise from being LGBTQ as it is not accepted by everyone yet. It is extremely important for humans to feel a part of something: a community, family, support groups, etc. So they won't feel lonely. It is known to every hierarchy of needs that humans are social beings. We communicate to survive. Some LGBTQ Community members may feel like they have no voice in the society which is why we aim for those who feel mute to gain confidence in their own sexuality.
The Mission of 2Werk is called “R.E.S.” It is an acronym that we use to easily help remind our team why we started in the first place. We aim to Raise Awareness to the LGBTQ Community, Erase the stereotype and discrimination towards the community and to Spread confidence to those who are part of the community. Many are suffering due to confusion towards their identity and we are here to help. The community isn’t something to be afraid of because it is completely normal and we are here to clear all the misunderstandings around them.

The Pride Together Marathon is a fundraising marathon that aims to help fund support groups for the LGBTQ Community. This event was launched May 17 2005 by our partner advocacy group Gay Rights Protection Program. This marathon allowed the attendees to come in any costume or attire they preffer as long as they follow the theme "I am who I am". The Pride Together Marathon raised 1.7M Dollars and was one of the most succesful events of the Gay Rights Protection Program. 2Werk (Our Advocacy Group hosted) the event and sponsored the sound system and marathon kits.

The Jerk Off festival has been putting the focus on the youthful LGBT+ imaginative scene throughout the previous 10 years.Théâtre, exhibitions, in addition dance exhibitions, workshops, documentaries and clubbing nights: at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, Jerk Off plays on the variety of portrayals of queer and alternative craftsmanship

For 40 years, a huge number of individuals have paraded through the streets of Paris consistently on the event of the gay parade. This occasion is a fun event and aims to protect parallel rights, dismiss discrimination and bolster the privilege for everybody to live the way they wish. The parade is composed by several volunteers, and adds to the progress of equal rights. This event is not just diverse in gender but also in raise as people from around the world go to this pride parade as for it is the biggest pride parade event each year.

In 2016 San Francisco had the tenth edition of the Gay Games. Held at regular intervals, similar to the Olympic Games, the Gay Games occured in the San Francisco Bay Area amid nine days in August 2016. This is the world's biggest sporting, social and fun occasion in the work open to all, with no prior selection. More than an event celebrating game and sporting esteems, the Gay Games is a backer for diversity and offers everybody a chance to participate. The program incorporates sports occasions, meetings, social occasions, merriments, and so forth. Gay Games San Francisco 2016 had the gate attendance of 15,000 members from 70 nations to participate in 36 sporting events. It was open to all, to as wide a public as possible under the circumstances, paying little mind to age, religion, sexual introduction, wellbeing or level of sporting achievement. There are many pride parades that include floats but the Pride Floats event held every year at New York is the biggest float event of the year that supports and shows awareness to the LGBTQ Community. In the year 2015, 2Werk participated and asked some of the willing LGBTQ community members to participate in our float. Our float was given a more festival type of theme for 2Werk launched in the Philippines by us Filipinos. Every year, there is a sum of 40 floats that join the Pride Float Parade. The number of attendees and participators grow year by year.

One of the difficulties in connecting for help in case you're gay is that you may feel that other people who are not gay won't comprehend your specific circumstance. Fortunately there are many care groups for LGBT individuals.
